The Unnamed float

Conversations can include reminiscing and don't the 'old' all like reminiscing. Thinking bout those hot summers in the paddling pool, getting sticky from ice lollies, or your first swimming lessons struggling in armbands.

Most young children have swimming lessons. They start from armbands and get excited moving up grades, getting cool badges and sitting on a higher stair. But looking back at your fun and games and wanting to to describe every detail, you realise you have a problem! What's the name of that long float? 

Everyone loves that long, curvy float, which comes in many colours. It prevents drowning, and provides entertainment such as having horse races. But what is the name of this wonderful invention? Curvy float? Plain float? Or, something nothing to do with 'float'?
